EEA Grants Moot Court

What is the EEA Grants Portugal Moot Court?

The EEA Grants Moot Court is an international competition, held between teams of students from several European countries who have a special interest for European Union and European Free Trade Association Law, taking place in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, from 14 to 16 February 2025.

This initiative will be organized for the first time by Sociedade Portuguesa de Direito Internacional in strict cooperation with Innlandet University College (Lillehammer) and sponsored by EEA Grant. It aims to lay the groundwork for future projects and partenships between the countries, students and academics involved by fostering cooperation and academic exchange. Engaging in this opportunity not only adds a valuable asset to your CV and boosts your University's prestige, but it also provides a transformative personal and professional journey.

The case will be sent to the participants by email. The student teams from European Universities register and send us their CV and average grade until 21st January. The submissions are evaluated by the selected juris. The results are published on our website on January 31st. 8 teams – composed of 4 students and their Coach – are qualified to participate in the oral pleadings of the Moot Court. The competition is held in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, over three days, where students are presented to our Judges.
